“An ecosystem is defined as ‘a biological community of interacting organisms & their physical environment’. In this exhibition, the interacting organisms in play are presented as the artists, while their physical environment is the art gallery, the adjoining studio space & the works they will be creating. Through a collaboration with technology, paint, sculpture, each other and their environment, an ecosystem of generative material flux will emerge within the gallery during the month of February...”

Stollery and Flynn both live in Docklands and have found the landscape of skyscrapers, parkland and glistening water, to have inspired their aesthetic vocabulary for this exhibition. They are very excited to be presenting this together at a Docklands Spaces project.

The exhibition is hosted by a non-profit art gallery, “The Front” in Docklands. It is a participant in the Docklands Spaces Project, run in partnership with the City of Melbourne, Places Victoria and Renew Australia. The Docklands Spaces project provides temporary space for the incubation of creative ideas and projects. These activate empty shop fronts and other commercial properties while they are vacant and waiting to be leased. This nurtures a cultural oasis for the local community and the City of Melbourne in Docklands.”
