Hosier Lane, a street art focused laneway in the artist's home city of Melbourne, Australia.
The visual concept for CS:GO Ⅹ-YRS incorporates multiple sticker designs into a singular piece, influenced by the sprawling creativity of street art stickers found in urban environments.
The collection incorporates a variety of creative processes, from vector monogram design, to 3D rendering & visual techniques used in motion graphics. This provides the appearance of sticker designs originating from different individual street artists. A recurring motif and the project's namesake is the Ⅹ — the roman numeral for the number 10.
Special attention was given to each format variation of the sticker, which was used as an opportunity to explore new perspectives on their creation. The holographic stickers contain a normal map for additional vibrancy & reflection, plus the interpretation of the foil stickers — typically styled to convey a metallic finish — instead explore the boundaries of searing, colourful saturation. In doing so, they have been titled 'Hyper-Foil' stickers. Additionally, each design scratches down to reveal a hidden message themed around anniversary celebrations & our perceptions of time.
